Macey studied Fashion Design at Lipscomb University. While in school, she was able to attend New York’s Bridal Market, design and produce a bridal collection, work as a fit model, as well as interning at a bridal boutique.

While always having the love to sew, Macey opened ThePurplePinCushion, when she was 12 years old. The business started out small, selling handmade accessories and accents at local markets and shows. In 2018, Macey opened an Etsy shop to continue to grow her business. ThePurplePinCushion was acknowledged by Christy Wright of Dave Ramsey Solutions, Annabel Wrigley of Little Pincushion Studio, sold at Ali on the Boulevard, as well as being featured on several blogs and news articles. While ThePurplePinCushion is no longer, Macey’s love and ambition to be behind the sewing machine has allowed her dreams of becoming a wedding dress designer come to life.
